The Vattensmart project, commissioned by Laholmsbuktens VA and Vatten & Miljö i Väst AB, aims to enhance water-use awareness among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as the general public. By promoting responsible water practices, the project addresses the pressing challenge of water scarcity due to climate change.

Through research and interviews, Vattensmart identified a lack of awareness and resources for effective water management among SMEs and regular consumers. The solution involves installing digital water meters to monitor usage, providing access to expert consultation, and offering a "Water Smart" certification to motivate businesses and individuals to adopt sustainable practices.

Additionally, Vattensmart seeks to raise awareness among the general public, helping them track their water usage and encouraging responsible consumption. By facilitating better tracking and promoting informed decision-making, Vattensmart serves as a vital tool for both SMEs and individuals striving for sustainability in their water consumption.
